Find some space at the desk you’re working on. Use the products provided to complete the practical tasks. Find your assigned staff member for the shop based tasks.
- Origami - Pick the most suitable paper for origami, and make an object with it! (Anything will do - even just folding it in an interesting way.)
- Key papers - Identify where you keep the stencil paper, the acetate and the newsprint in your Cass Shop. (These are key papers that you will get asked for a lot.)
- Portfolio sleeves - Go and listen to the static when you peel back portfolio sleeves from one another. The professional quality are much less static than the presentation quality.
- Cartridge paper colour - Compare the colour of the Cass pads and the Daler Rowney pads. Which is bright white and which is cream?
- Varnishes - Take a look at the varnish selection for oil paintings. Which would you use to varnish an oil painting with a gloss finish?
