Find some space at the desk you’re working on. Use the products provided in your try-me bag to complete the practical tasks, spend about 5 minutes on them. Find your assigned staff member for the shop based tasks.
- Artist Quality - Identify which artist quality brands you stock at your Cass Art shop. Which brand would you recommend to someone who wanted to paint with thick paint marks?
- Acrylic Mediums - Find an acrylic medium you would advise a customer to use to get a glass bead effect in their acrylic.
- Test it out – Use an acrylic medium to alter the working characteristics of your acrylic paint. (Find it in the training material box)
- Artist vs Student – Use the canvas paper and squeeze out a small blob of liquitex heavy body, then squeeze out a small blob of system 3 original. Complete a painting with the two colours and think about how they differ in terms of viscosity, handling and colour intensity.
- Identify the medium – Can you identify which medium is on the card in the training material box?
